Senior Advisor – Child Protection (French Speaker)

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Senior Advisor – Child Protection who is fluent in English and French to provide strategic, technical and operational leadership for its global child protection portfolio. The role will support country offices in West and Central Africa, drive programme quality, and contribute to business development and partnership initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialised technical guidance to country teams on child protection programme design, implementation and monitoring.
• Conduct regular reviews of child protection awards to ensure donor compliance and organisational standards.
• Support the development of high‑quality proposals, strategic plans and resource mobilisation strategies.
• Design and oversee capacity‑building and training programmes for national and local partners.
• Represent Save the Children in external and internal working groups, clusters and inter‑agency platforms.
• Contribute to the creation of global guidance, tools and evidence‑based resources.

Required profile

• Proven experience in child protection within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Fluency in English and French (both written and spoken).
• Ability to travel up to 40 % of the time, including to West and Central Africa.
• Right to work in the country of assignment.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
