About the role

The internship offers hands‑on experience in cleaning and calibrating storage tanks used for petroleum, chemical or food products. The intern will work on site in Abidjan, supporting the maintenance team to ensure tanks are safe and accurately measured.

Key responsibilities

• Empty storage tanks and safely degas them before any cleaning operation.
• Clean interior walls of tanks, removing sludge, residues and any contaminant.
• Perform barèmage (calibration) by carrying out metrological measurements of the tank using a seraphin instrument to determine the exact liquid volume for each height level.
• Record cleaning and measurement results and report any anomalies to the supervisor.
• Follow safety and environmental procedures throughout all tasks.

Required profile

• High school diploma (BAC) or equivalent.
• Ability to work on‑site in an industrial environment.
• Basic understanding of safety practices when handling petroleum, chemical or food products.
• Motivation to learn tank maintenance and metrology techniques.

Required skills

• Tank cleaning procedures (emptying, degassing, interior wall cleaning).
• Metrological measurement of tanks using a seraphin instrument.
• Accurate recording of measurement data.
