Senior Project Engineer

About the role

The Senior Project Engineer reports to the Projects Superintendent and leads the engineering side of construction projects. The role focuses on engineering and planning activities to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and interpret site and construction drawings, ensuring works follow contract specifications.
• Coordinate survey control for monthly volumetric and payment valuations.
• Assist the Project Superintendent with tendering, material forecasting, and subcontractor management.
• Produce as‑built drawings in AutoCAD and calculate material volumes and take‑offs.
• Compile weekly progress dashboards and monthly construction progress reports.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and quarterly forecasting activities.
• Raise and track Technical Queries (TQs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) with designers and contractors.
• Promote compliance with QA/QC procedures, statutory requirements, and safety standards.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in construction engineering and project delivery.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC, budgeting, and safety management.
• Ability to work closely with project managers, survey teams, and external engineers.
