Education Officer (Fixed-Term) – Abidjan

About the role

The Education Officer will support UNICEF’s education programmes in Côte d'Ivoire, contributing to the design, implementation and monitoring of initiatives that promote equitable, inclusive learning for all children.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programme cycle, from planning to delivery.
• Support the development of education project proposals, work plans and budgets.
• Monitor programme performance, collect data and prepare reports on learning outcomes and access.
• Coordinate with government agencies, partners and UN agencies to ensure alignment with national education strategies.
• Contribute to advocacy and communication efforts that highlight UNICEF’s education impact.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in Education, International Development or a related field.
• Experience working on education programmes in low‑resource settings, preferably with UN or NGOs.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and fluency in English; French is an asset.
