Youth & Adolescent Development Officer (Fixed Term)

About the role

The Youth & Adolescent Development Officer will support UNICEF’s adolescent development programme in Côte d’Ivoire. Reporting to the Chief of Section or Specialist, the officer will contribute to research, advocacy and programme planning that promote the rights and participation of adolescents.

Key responsibilities

• Provide research, technical analysis and evidence‑based inputs to strengthen adolescent development and participation programmes.
• Support the design, planning and formulation of interventions that ensure safe environments and protect the rights of adolescents.
• Assist in advocacy efforts to promote equity and inclusion for disadvantaged children and families.
• Collaborate with country office teams to align programme activities with UNICEF’s strategic goals.

Required profile

• Open to nationals of Côte d’Ivoire only.
• Relevant academic background in youth development, social sciences, public health or a related field.
• Experience in programme research, analysis or advocacy for children and adolescents.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and report to senior UNICEF staff.
