About the role
GSM (Green SM) is launching Africa’s first all‑electric ride‑hailing service in Côte d’Ivoire. The Head of Back Office will build and lead the HR, IT and administration functions that enable the market to operate smoothly from day one.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement the local HR foundation: recruitment support, onboarding, employee records, payroll and benefits administration.
- Ensure full compliance with Ivorian labour law and company policies as the team scales.
- Stand up and manage local IT infrastructure, equipment, internal tools and data‑security measures.
- Coordinate with HQ technology teams to roll out and support essential systems.
- Set up office facilities, manage procurement, vendor relationships and day‑to‑day administration.
- Develop and enforce back‑office policies, procedures and best practices, driving automation and process improvements.
- Act as the primary liaison between the in‑market team and corporate functions at HQ in Vietnam.
- Hire, develop and lead a high‑performing back‑office team from scratch.
Required profile
- Proven experience building HR, IT or administrative functions in a fast‑growing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Ivorian labour regulations and corporate compliance.
- Ability to set up IT infrastructure and ensure data security.
- Excellent coordination skills to bridge local operations with headquarters.
- Leadership capability to recruit, develop and manage a new team.
