Finance & Auditor Expert – Health Projects

About the role

The Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute seeks a Finance & Auditor Expert to lead financial appraisal and performance monitoring of health sector development projects in Côte d’Ivoire. This senior position will ensure robust financial accounting, administration and management of health programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial appraisal and monitor performance of health development projects.
• Verify implementation of health programmes with focus on financial accounting and administration.
• Review and analyse accounting transactions, budgets and financial statements.
• Assess internal controls, financial management systems and recommend improvements.
• Interpret audit reports and provide actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Recognised professional finance or accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA, Chartered Accountant, CFA) or a Master’s degree in financial accounting/administration with relevant experience.
• Certification in financial auditing or fraud detection.
• Minimum 10 years experience in finance, controlling or auditing of health sector development projects.
• At least 8 years management experience, preferably in the health sector.
• Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Côte d’Ivoire context; regional experience is a plus.
