Finance Manager Francophone West & Central and Lusophone Africa

About the role

Roche is looking for a Finance Manager for Francophone West & Central and Lusophone Africa, based in Abidjan. The role leads and manages the financial health and procurement and finance processes across the organization, reports to the General Manager of Roche Côte d'Ivoire and has a functional reporting line to the Area Head Finance for Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and give strategic recommendations to the local leadership team.
• Advise on mid- and long-term business and financial planning, set financial targets and budgets, and manage the company's P&L and net operating assets.
• Implement the internal control framework and ensure financial compliance with local laws and Roche guidelines.
• Drive cross-functional process standardization, automation and integration, drawing on regional and global expertise.
• Contribute to the Africa Finance & Supply Chain chapter and act as ambassador for the future of finance transformation in Africa.
• Coach and mentor colleagues, lead diverse and virtual teams, and manage performance, development and succession plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree at minimum; MA/MBA preferred.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and French is mandatory.
• Experience working in more than one country, with affiliate finance experience and knowledge of Africa is a plus.
• Proven track record as an experienced finance professional with broad business partnering knowledge.
