Head of Recruitment & Pool Management

About the role

The Head of Unit Recruitment & Pool Management leads a dedicated team of Recruiters and Pool Managers at MSF West and Central Africa (WaCA). This senior HR position oversees the full recruitment lifecycle for both International Mobile Staff deployed in the field and headquarters personnel, ensuring the organization can respond swiftly to humanitarian needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of recruiters and pool managers to source, select, and place staff across all MSF operations.
• Manage the pool of International Mobile Staff, providing career advice and professional development support.
• Drive innovative talent‑acquisition strategies, retention initiatives, and workforce planning.
• Ensure compliance with MSF recruitment policies, Safe Recruitment principles, and local Ivorian labor regulations.
• Collaborate with the HR Director and operational managers to align staffing with mission priorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading recruitment teams in an international or humanitarian context.
• Strong understanding of full‑cycle recruitment, pool management, and workforce planning.
• Ability to foster a diverse and inclusive workforce.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
