Independent Field Merchandiser - FMCG

About the role

Tampico Beverages, a multi-national company with corporate offices in Chicago, is recruiting an Independent Field Merchandiser in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. The role covers the operational follow-up of trade marketing actions and the commercial development of the Tampico brand in Côte d'Ivoire.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up distribution channels: wholesalers, neighbourhood shops and supermarkets
• Plan, organise, run and follow up promotions and activations
• Follow up trade marketing initiatives with external agencies
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of marketing and sales plans
• Ensure the visibility and accessibility (merchandising) of Tampico in retail outlets
• Track sales indicators such as price checks, digital distribution and other relevant metrics, and report monthly results
• Monitor market competition

Required profile

• 1 to 3 years of experience in FMCG product sales
• Higher education degree or equivalent
• Field-oriented with good knowledge of the FMCG commercial world
• Excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities and ability to work autonomously
• Able to travel locally about 30% of the time
• Currently residing in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire
