Market Planner

About the role

The Market Planner is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, forecasting sales, and ensuring product availability while avoiding excess stock. You will work closely with suppliers, the sales team, and the CBD manager to align forecasts with marketing initiatives and maintain accurate stock pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and regularly update pipeline sheets to control stocks and orders.
• Identify major stock issues, alert the line manager, and implement corrective actions.
• Place orders with suppliers, follow up on timeliness, correctness, and completeness according to company requirements.
• Flag out‑of‑stock risks caused by documentation delays and prioritize order withdrawals fairly.
• Review Initiative Master Plans from principals, ensure marketing activities are reflected in volume forecasts, and adjust pipelines accordingly.
• Highlight significant variances between sales forecasts and actual data, informing line and CBD managers.
• Prepare and send stock and sales reports to suppliers for forecasting purposes.
• Check product freshness on receipt to minimize expiry issues.
• Analyse root causes of out‑of‑stock situations and propose action plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in inventory management, sales forecasting, or a similar role.
