Program Associate – Strategic Impact Evaluation & Learning

About the role

The Program Associate, Strategic Impact Evaluation and Learning (SIEL) supports a six‑year learning partnership between the UK FCDO, IPA and J‑PAL. The role assists the Program Lead in managing grants, developing projects and communicating outcomes across four strategic priority areas.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the competitive research funding process, draft calls for proposals, manage reviews and oversee grant agreements.
• Track grant and project status, maintain detailed Salesforce records and ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements.
• Support project development by liaising with FCDO teams, IPA units and J‑PAL country offices, and help match researchers with relevant initiatives.
• Assist in preparing dissemination materials, updating the IPA website and supporting events and training sessions.
• Provide general program administration, including financial monitoring and contributing to IPA’s diversity, equity and inclusion metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, political science, public policy or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in project or research management, research fund administration or research dissemination.
• Strong attention to operational detail and proven project‑management abilities.
