Senior Manager, Government Solutions – West & Central Africa

About the role

Visa is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its Government Solutions sales strategy across selected markets in West and Central Africa. You will drive adoption of digital payments, wallets and payments data within government programs, helping improve service delivery and public sector outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Execute Visa’s Government Solutions sales strategy, identifying priority clients and growth opportunities.
• Originate and manage a pipeline of public‑sector opportunities, developing account plans, business cases and value propositions.
• Lead RFP development, proposal coordination and ensure disciplined pipeline management.
• Build and maintain relationships with national, provincial and local government agencies, ministries and regulators.
• Represent Visa professionally, resolve issues affecting sales performance and navigate procurement processes.
• Identify and engage ecosystem partners (issuers, processors, fintechs, technology providers) to strengthen Visa’s offering.
• Support partners in commercial strategy execution, revenue targets and program milestones.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling digital payment solutions to government or public‑sector clients.
• Strong track record of managing complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles in Africa.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills with senior public officials.
• Ability to travel across the region as required.
• Strategic thinking with a focus on measurable public‑sector impact.
