Business Development Manager – Côte d’Ivoire

About the role

Wave is building a cashless Africa by offering fee‑free, instant financial services across the continent. As a Business Development Manager in Côte d’Ivoire, you will drive the company’s growth strategy by forging and managing key partnerships that enable Wave’s payment products to reach more users.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, negotiate, and secure strategic partnerships with banks, telcos, bill‑payment providers, and international remittance firms.
• Build and maintain relationships with partners to ensure smooth operation of Wave’s services in Côte d’Ivoire.
• Coordinate communication between partners and internal teams (Product, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Marketing).
• Source new business opportunities for Wave’s payment ecosystem.
• Represent Wave in field visits across the country to support partnership implementation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales within the fintech or payments sector.
• Strong knowledge of the Côte d’Ivoire market and regulatory environment.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work independently from the Abidjan office and travel as needed.
