Coring Supervisor – Offshore Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Coring Supervisor to lead offshore coring operations in Côte d'Ivoire. You will plan, coordinate and supervise core recovery activities, ensuring safety, efficiency and high‑quality results while working closely with drilling, subsurface and service‑provider teams.

Key responsibilities

• Operate wireline and conventional coring systems as the on‑site supervisor.
• Mentor and train coring technicians and specialists on operational requirements.
• Participate in pre‑spud, DWOP and daily rig‑site meetings.
• Review procedures, generate risk assessments and Job Hazard Analyses.
• Run advanced coring systems unsupervised once certified.
• Liaise with customers, drilling contractors and internal offices to confirm job readiness.
• Complete all required paperwork, including safety meetings, service tickets, timesheets, core logs and reports.
• Gather additional data as requested and communicate with clients for investigations.
• Conduct post‑job debriefs and maintain mandatory core competencies.

Required profile

• Engineering or Geology degree (preferred).
• Proven experience in a similar operational role on oil‑and‑gas rigs.
• Ability to assess risks and perform competency assessor training.

Required skills

• Wireline and conventional coring system operation.
• Microsoft Office suite – Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Understanding of drilling and completion processes.
• Basic knowledge of geology.
• Risk assessment and Job Hazard Analysis preparation.
