Construction QA/QC Civil/Steel Structure Inspector

About the role

We are looking for a Construction QA/QC Civil/Steel Structure Inspector to ensure full compliance of civil and structural steel works on site. The role involves verifying subcontractor method statements, monitoring materials, equipment and workmanship, and guaranteeing that all activities follow approved engineering specifications, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that subcontractor Method Statements are approved and correctly implemented before work starts.
• Support material verification and monitor civil and steel construction activities for compliance with specifications, quality plans and safety requirements.
• Inspect civil and steel structure works against approved drawings, standards and quality requirements.
• Identify deviations, raise non‑conformities and assist the Construction Quality Manager in corrective actions.
• Coordinate inspection requests with subcontractors and the Client, and ensure proper follow‑up of inspection rejections.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in construction quality control for civil and steel structures in EPC, industrial or Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, ITPs, Method Statements, QA/QC procedures and non‑conformity reporting.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, supervising subcontractors and ensuring calibrated measuring equipment.
• Fluent in English and French.
