About the role

The company seeks a Commercial Director to lead the sales function for a client operating in transport and logistics. The role involves defining the commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and ensuring profitability while leading a high‑performing sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall commercial strategy and sales targets.
• Analyse market trends, conduct competitive intelligence and anticipate opportunities.
• Grow and retain strategic client accounts, supervise prospecting activities and manage high‑value negotiations.
• Lead, coach and evaluate the performance of the sales teams.
• Set up reporting tools, monitor KPIs such as turnover, margins and market share, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Prepare budgets, track profitability and optimise commercial processes.
• Represent the company at major events and maintain relationships with key partners.
