Senior Managing Consultant – Business Development Services for Francophone Africa

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Managing Consultant to lead Business Development for Services across Francophone West Africa. The role drives revenue, builds senior client relationships, and acts as the face of Mastercard Services to C‑suite stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute in‑region sales strategy for 16 West African markets, delivering aggressive revenue targets.
• Act as a player‑coach, travelling extensively to support sales cycles and coach the team.
• Build, recruit, manage and develop a team to capture business opportunities and increase market share.
• Partner with product, advisory, consulting and finance teams to align customer needs with Mastercard offerings.
• Facilitate implementation of strategies, linking customer requirements to Mastercard resources.

Required profile

• Proven track record in complex sales and strategic account management within financial services or payments.
• Strong commercial drive, senior‑level relationship building and negotiation skills.
• Experience in revenue management, P&L responsibility and conflict resolution.
• Excellent communication, influencing and presentation abilities in both French and English.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of Mastercard Advisors value propositions.
• Consulting or data‑driven solution‑selling background.
• Ability to translate objectives into hypotheses and structure large, complex projects.
