HSE Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator

About the role

The Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator ensures the effective implementation, coordination, and control of the PTW system on site. Working closely with the Site Manager and Construction HSE Manager, the role guarantees that all hazardous activities are assessed, authorized, and executed safely in line with project HSE requirements, company procedures, client standards, and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review, approve, and monitor PTWs, risk assessments, and method statements before and during work execution.
• Act as the main interface between construction teams, subcontractors, and other parties involved in permitted activities.
• Coordinate simultaneous works, manage interfaces, and intervene when unsafe conditions or deviations are identified.
• Conduct field inspections to verify compliance with PTW conditions and suspend, withdraw, or close PTWs as needed.
• Support isolation procedures for mechanical, electrical, and energy sources.
• Maintain accurate documentation, records, and performance reports for PTW activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience on construction or industrial sites.
• Proven experience in PTW coordination and work‑control systems.
• Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and work authorization processes.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Experience in industrial, EPC or EPCM projects is a strong advantage.
