Human Resources Partner Director – Africa Region

About the role

The Human Resources Partner Director for the Africa region will be based in Abidjan and support approximately 1,000 employees across 40 countries. Reporting to the Regional Managing Director and functionally to the VP of Human Resources, this senior leader will guide a small local HR team and a network of Country HR Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, management, and employees at both tactical and strategic levels.
• Align corporate HR strategies with regional business needs, ensuring policies are adapted to local contexts.
• Oversee succession planning, talent development, performance management, employee relations, and HR compliance across the region.
• Drive organizational development initiatives, improve employee engagement, and promote a high‑performance culture.
• Translate regional business objectives into HR programs and support the creation of human capital budgets and business plans.
• Advise Regional Management on HR and organizational issues and lead the implementation of corporate HR programs locally.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within a multi‑country or multinational environment.
• Ability to work strategically while adapting core HR strategies to regional and country‑specific nuances.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with leadership, management, and employee groups.
• Experience overseeing succession planning, talent development, performance management, and HR compliance.
• Capacity to drive organizational development and foster a high‑performance culture.
