Import & Distribution Manager - Frozen Foods

About the role

Faina is looking for an experienced Import & Distribution Manager to lead import operations, build distribution networks and drive business growth in Côte d'Ivoire. The role covers frozen food imports, mainly frozen fish and seafood, and requires strong commercial acumen and knowledge of the West African market.

Key responsibilities

• Manage imports of frozen fish, seafood and related products.
• Build relationships with wholesalers, supermarkets, hotels, restaurants and distributors.
• Coordinate customs clearance, import permits, veterinary documentation and shipping.
• Oversee cold-chain logistics, inventory management and product traceability.
• Handle supplier payments, banking documentation, customer collections and cash flow.
• Monitor sales performance, profitability and distribution opportunities.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in frozen-food imports and distribution.
• Knowledge of Abidjan's wholesale and distribution market.
• Experience with customs clearance and cold-chain logistics.
• Professional proficiency in both French and English.
• Strong negotiation, financial coordination and business management skills.
• Familiarity with Indian or Chinese frozen-food suppliers is an advantage.
