Independent Field Merchandiser – Abidjan

About the role

Tampico Beverages is seeking an Independent Field Merchandiser to support trade‑marketing actions and commercial development of the Tampico brand across Côte d’Ivoire. The role involves hands‑on work in the field, ensuring product visibility, executing promotions and gathering market intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor distribution channels including wholesalers, neighborhood shops and supermarkets.
• Plan, organize, execute and follow up on promotions and activations.
• Coordinate trade‑marketing initiatives with external agencies.
• Assist in creating and implementing marketing and commercial plans.
• Ensure Tampico product visibility and accessibility (merchandising) at points of sale.
• Track sales indicators such as price checks, numeric distribution and other relevant metrics, and provide monthly performance reports.
• Conduct competitive market monitoring.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years experience in FMCG product sales.
• Higher diploma or equivalent.
• Field‑oriented with solid knowledge of the FMCG commercial environment.
• Excellent communication, strong organizational abilities and ability to work autonomously.
• Willingness to travel locally up to 30% of the time.
• Good proficiency with general IT tools, especially Microsoft Office.
• Current residence in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire (relocation not provided).
