Managing Director – Côte d'Ivoire

About the role

SOLEVO, a leading distributor of chemicals and agricultural inputs across Africa, is seeking a Managing Director for Côte d'Ivoire. The role will drive the country’s strategic direction, manage the full P&L, and lead the team to expand profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans that enhance competitive positioning and profitability.
• Own the annual budget, KPIs, and overall country P&L.
• Identify short‑ and long‑term opportunities to improve working capital and operational efficiency.
• Lead cultural and process transformation to boost execution and performance.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance accountability for all managers and staff.
• Recruit, train, coach, and, when necessary, discipline managers to build a high‑performing team.
• Establish and enforce procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical service policies.
• Maintain quality service and ensure compliance with SHE, data privacy, travel, expense, and other regulatory standards.
• Represent SOLEVO with customers, government bodies, community groups, and industry partners to strengthen corporate image.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience with full P&L responsibility, preferably in distribution, agriculture, or industrial sectors.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate global objectives into local actions.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including government and community engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and hold teams accountable for results.
• Deep understanding of compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements in Côte d'Ivoire.
