Mine Geologist (H/F)

About the role

The client seeks a Mine Geologist to lead geological studies supporting exploration, resource evaluation and mine planning in Abidjan. The role involves field work, data analysis and collaboration with technical teams to ensure compliant and efficient exploitation of mineral deposits.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct geological reconnaissance and mapping of ore bodies.
• Supervise drilling, coring and sampling campaigns.
• Analyze and interpret geological data and laboratory results.
• Model deposits and estimate mineral resources and reserves using specialized software.
• Contribute to mine‑plan development together with engineering teams.
• Monitor geological progress during mining operations, including grade control and front mapping.
• Prepare technical reports for management and external partners.
• Support feasibility studies and economic assessments of deposits.
• Ensure all exploration activities comply with mining and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or Master’s in Geology, Mining Geology or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in mineral exploration or mining geology.
• Willingness to work on site and travel to exploration locations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with geological modeling tools such as Surpac, Datamine or Micromine.
• Strong knowledge of drilling, sampling and resource estimation techniques.
