Senior Finance Associate – G7 – Abidjan

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Senior Finance Associate (G‑7) for its Abidjan office. The role involves delivering specialized finance tasks, ensuring compliance with UNICEF financial rules, researching irregular cases and recommending process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support and oversight to transactional finance teams.
• Deliver technical expertise and procedural oversight to ensure consistent adherence to UNICEF financial regulations.
• Research, analyse and resolve irregular financial cases.
• Recommend and implement improvements to finance processes and designs.
• Prepare accurate financial reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth financial operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance within an international or development context.
• Strong analytical abilities and capacity to work independently at a senior level.
• Familiarity with UNICEF financial rules and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
