Responsable Commercial et Développement – Assurance

About the role

The company is seeking a Commercial and Development Manager to lead the growth of its insurance brokerage portfolio in Abidjan. Reporting directly to the General Management, the successful candidate will drive market expansion, build and manage a sales force, and ensure high‑quality client service.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate a sales team to achieve growth targets.
• Identify, prospect and convert new corporate clients (large accounts and SMEs) outside the group’s traditional market.
• Analyse prospect risk profiles and recommend optimal IARD, health and life insurance solutions in partnership with insurers.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing.
• Maintain post‑sale relationships to retain clients and promote cross‑selling of additional products.

Required profile

• University degree (Bac+3 to Bac+5) in Insurance, Commerce or Management.
• 2‑5 years of proven commercial development experience, preferably in an insurance brokerage or insurance company.
• Strong knowledge of the Ivorian insurance market.
• Winner’s temperament, tenacity, high relational skills, autonomy and adaptability.

Required skills

• Expertise in direct prospecting techniques and B2B negotiation.
• In‑depth understanding of IARD, health and life insurance products.
