Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the role

Green Agro Valley CI (GAV‑CI) is a fast‑scaling agri‑tech company delivering solar borehole drilling, photovoltaic pumping and laser‑spray micro‑irrigation to smallholder farmers across Côte d’Ivoire and the region. The Chief Financial Officer will build a finance function that can sustain multi‑country growth, ensure institutional‑grade governance and support the CEO and Board with strategic financial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, multi‑year modeling (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet) and scenario analysis to support fundraising and expansion.
• Own the capitalization table, equity story, term‑sheet negotiations and secondary transactions.
• Manage relationships with equity investors, development finance institutions and lenders; deliver post‑investment and impact reporting.
• Oversee group treasury, liquidity planning, working‑capital optimisation and foreign‑exchange risk across multiple currencies.
• Design and enforce SYSCOHADA/OHADA‑compliant accounting, statutory reporting and tax compliance for all entities.
• Implement internal controls, delegation of authority, procurement processes and financial governance frameworks.
• Supervise donor‑funded program finance, grant compliance, disbursement management and audit‑ready reporting.
• Build enterprise risk framework, manage external audits, insurance and regulatory relationships, and support ISO 9001 and ESG/impact reporting.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (BAC+5, BAC+6 or higher) in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Proven senior finance leadership experience in a high‑growth, multi‑country environment.
• Experience with donor‑funded programmes, impact investors and development finance institutions.
• Strong knowledge of SYSCOHADA/OHADA accounting standards and corporate governance.
• Demonstrated ability to design scalable finance systems and lead finance teams.
