Senior Marketing & Sales Specialist (FMCG)

About the role

A Senior Marketing & Sales Specialist is sought in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, to lead market research, consumer insights and competitor analysis for a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company. The role covers surveys, product R&D support, business development support and reporting to management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative market research, design and run surveys, interviews and focus groups, and prepare market research reports and executive summaries.
• Analyze customer preferences, buying behaviour and satisfaction, build customer segmentation and monitor local, regional and international market developments.
• Monitor competitors' products, pricing, promotions and positioning, run SWOT analyses and prepare competitor intelligence reports.
• Support product R&D by evaluating customer feedback, coordinating product testing and concept validation, and recommending product improvements.
• Analyse customer insights, measure satisfaction and brand perception, and recommend experience improvements.
• Evaluate new business opportunities, conduct feasibility studies, support pricing strategy and provide commercial insights for strategic planning.
• Analyse large datasets, build dashboards and KPI reports, develop forecasting models and present findings to senior management.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Operations and Finance, and coordinate with external research agencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in market research, marketing analytics, business intelligence, product development or R&D.
• Experience managing market surveys and consumer research projects.
• Experience in FMCG, food & beverage, manufacturing or consumer goods is highly preferred.
