Strategic People Partner (HR)

About the role

Wave is building a cashless Africa and needs a Strategic People Partner to shape the employee experience, talent initiatives, and organizational effectiveness. You will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, driving performance coaching, development, and talent management across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leads to assess and evolve team structures, facilitating organization health reviews and change management.
• Collaborate with Learning & Development to identify development needs, support individual development plans, and track learning participation.
• Work with leaders on career path mapping, performance review cycles, calibrations, and succession planning.
• Ensure a strong talent pipeline by coordinating with the Talent team during hiring processes.
• Manage internship and rotation programs, from role definition to onboarding and integration.

Required profile

• Curiosity, strategic thinking, and hands‑on HR delivery experience.
• Proven ability to partner across functions and influence organizational design.
• Experience supporting managers on change, culture alignment, and employee engagement.
