Pharmacy Channel Lead – Drive Pharmacy Strategy

About the role

The client, a Global Consumer Health Leader, seeks an experienced Pharmacy Channel Lead to shape pharmacy channel strategy, boost commercial performance, and ensure operational excellence across the pharmacy network in Abidjan.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the pharmacy sales team, delivering training on product knowledge and merchandising best practices.
• Design and execute pharmacy channel strategies, negotiate shelf‑rental agreements and monitor compliance.
• Oversee merchandising initiatives, ensuring consistent in‑store visibility and promotional execution.
• Track sales growth, ROI, market penetration and provide regular performance reports with actionable insights.
• Build strong relationships with pharmacy chains, distributors and key decision‑makers, acting as the primary point of contact for pharmacy‑related projects.
• Implement omnichannel marketing activities targeting healthcare professionals through face‑to‑face, remote calls, email, WhatsApp and digital platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business or related field (MBA or pharmacist qualification preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or channel management.
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of coaching and developing teams.
• Strong planning, organizational and analytical capabilities.
• Experience with merchandising and shelf‑rental programs and knowledge of regulatory compliance.
